Metro Private Security, Inc. is a Texas corporation, licensed by the Texas Department of Public Safety, Private Security Bureau, license number C 11613. The corporation headquarters is located at 9535 Forest Lane, Suite 114, Dallas, Texas 75243.

The corporation was organized and founded by D. R. Dickerson, a native of Dallas, Texas. Dickerson is a retired Texas peace officer with over 20 years experience, retiring as a detective lieutenant with the Princeton, Texas Police Department in 2003. He also served as Police Chief in three Texas municipalities during his police career.

A graduate of Dallas Baptist University with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, Dickerson also holds both the Master's Peace Officer Certificate and the Crime Prevention Inspector Certificate from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education.

Dickerson served in the U.S. Air Force and is a veteran of the Vietnam era. He now serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Metro Private Security, Inc. and is a Qualified Manager of the company.

Our company specializes in providing security and courtesy patrol services to multi family management firms throughout the DFW metroplex. In addition our company offers a full range of contract private security services and private investigation services to residential, commercial, retail, and industrial clients.

A full range of insurance coverage is carried by our firm, including general liability insurance, worker compensation insurance, and auto liability insurance. Certificates of insurance are available through our licensed insurance agent upon request.

All employees of our company are registered with the Texas DPS. Each employee must undergo a company background check, a fingerprint criminal history background check, and a pre employment drug screen exam.

Security employees receive additional training from the Professional Security Training Network in the fields of their expertise in addition to the training mandated by the State of Texas. Our private officers who are armed receive further training in firearms safety. Patrol officers must complete our driver safety course each six months.
